Politics

Now that I am beginning to see how this whole blogging thing works; I am trying to get creative. Facebook asks for us to list what political party we belong to. Hmmmm....honestly, I have never thought about it. I wrote open - minded. I think this would be a great discussion if anyone wants to share their views with me. I love hearing the other side to such topics.

The Bone 107.7

Anyone listen to The Bone? Driving across the Bay Bridge today I heard the following...."with all your Facebooking, AIMing, Twittering and My Spacing - you should be Bone-ing...107.7" Gotta love it! I am a bonehead:)

Facebook and del.icio.us

Yes to both! I created my accounts, mentioned it to my teenage boys and they said I was too old! Very funny:0) Joke is on them when I re-voke their computer privileges!

Vivero Boxing Gym

My father has a boxing gym in Dallas on "Balboa" street - no kidding! He began the gym some years ago (after his 9-5) to help kids stay off the streets. The folks at Dr. Pepper made a commercial with Laila Ali - they did not think the gym looked old enough and made every effort to make it appear more "run-down". I grew up around and loving the Golden Gloves tournaments and seeing my father box....still love watching the sport today.

Stuck In Hawaii

I lost an additional four days of my life in Hawaii due to the ATA/Aloha shutdown! We made the best of it...two more days of Windsurfing. Too bad I chickened out. The waves were way bigger than the Bay Area. I plan to go back and tackle that once we recover some of the lost cash to get back too! Paying $900 per person one-way to get home really did not go over very well in my book.

In my opinion, someone at the executive level with Aloha or ATA had to have know that this was going to happen. Honestly, what are the odds of the same two carriers (that we booked with) going out of business with no contingency plans in place for travelers.

A great place to get stuck though!
